I am using Migrator to put a new theme on my site. I backed the new site up into the Vault and then uploaded the backup to my site. But after reporting the uploads folder was complete the backup does not include the uploads folder. I tried downloading just the uploads and they still don’t show.
Both times it said it was complete.
Here’s a screen shot:
Is this correct? Or should I try another route?

Thank you for getting back to me. The screen shot shows that the uploads file is complete. But it does not show the uploads button on the bottom, nor does the view log button. Here is the screen shot:

It’s the Aug 31st set of files. I never got the uploads or the view log button. (I built a new WordPress site that I want to use to replace an existing WordPress site.) I have the backup saved in your vault so I downloaded the files to my computer. The uploads file is big and took forever to upload thru the migrator. But then it just never showed up. I’m stumped.

I know that I can delete it and try again.
Or I can add the files thru the cPanel.

I guess I just wanted to verify that this Aug 31st set of backup files are not ready to be restored. Plus I wondered if it is because of my host, GoDaddy, and should I change my settings in Updraft?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Ps Should I pull my old site down (after backing it up) and start with a new clean install? Is that the problem?

Hi,

It is possible that the final step of the upload was timed out, so the record of available backup files was not updated.
Could you try clicking ‘Re-scan local storage’?

Thank you. That did it. I tend to over react. Forgive me.
I plan to restore the new backup version early tomorrow morning, Friday, Arizona time. I want to do it when traffic is lowest.
True to my nature I am afraid something might go wrong. I have used the tool to migrate a site into a test environment, poopy dot life, and rebuilt it into a beautiful new theme. Migrator worked perfectly. Probably more than once. However, if I restore the backup of this new site and it breaks my site, then what?
I will obviously contact you immediately but how long will my site be gone before we can fix it? Is there an expedited option?

Hi Jennifer,

The ‘PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT(-10)’ error indicates that the backup zip file is corrupt, specifically uploads.zip file.

Please download a fresh copy of the corrupt backup files and make sure these are completely downloaded and uploaded. Then, run migration process again. Further information can be found in this guide (https://updraftplus.com/faqs/error-message-pclzip_err_bad_format-10-mean/).
