I just migrated a site from omniwest.genteksystems.com (which is where I was testing it) to omniwest.net. The migration went fine (used option of generating key & inputting key into source site, sending over, then selected restore from new URL). When it asked, I selected “search links & replace w/ current urls”. Something obviously went wrong, because now “omniwest.net” redirects to “omniwest.genteksystems.com” which is not what I wanted. Even logging in to “omniwest.net/wp-admin” goes back to “omniwest.genteksystems.com/wp-admin”. Please help in what I need to do to fix this. Thank you

I fixed the issue. For anyone wondering, I had clicked the box to overwrite the WP-config.php file. I should not have done that for a migration. I ended up deleting wordpress & reinstalling & then migrating again. If anyone knows of a quick way to rectify this situation next time, rather than starting all over, then let me know.
    thanks,

    Hi Tony,

wp-config.php has the database connection details in it. It’s a text file. If replaced, you can either:

    1) Edit it in a text editor

    or

    2) UD also saves the previous version with the name wp-config-backup.php, so you can just rename it back.

    David
