In the past, we have pointed out that some WordPress backup solutions are only half a solution. They can take a backup, but if you need to restore it, then you’re on your own: you’re going to have to do it manually.

You might have historical backups from such a solution. Perhaps you want to move from a legacy solution to UpdraftPlus, but wonder what to do with your historical backups. Recently we’ve been thinking – wouldn’t it be good if UpdraftPlus could restore backups created by other backup solutions?
