On UI “Existing Backups” list – indicate where there were problems with backup

If a backup had problems, please indicate that on the UI under “Existing Backups”

I run daily backups, saving files to remote storage.

I needed to restore a backup.

For today’s backup, in the “Backup data (click to download)” there are download buttons for all the backup components (Database, Plugins, etc), however under the “Backup date”, under the date, there is a note “(Not finished)”.

Viewing the log file, it turns out I had exceeded the limits on remote storage.  Not a good thing, but I fixed the problem by deleting remote backup files.

I went to restore yesterday’s backup.  On the UI the download buttons for all the backup components were there, and there was no “(Not finished)” message under the backup date.  The restore failed and the restore window stalled (it’s still stalled) with error messages “download: failed: file not found”.

Viewing the log file, last line says “The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully”.  Backtracking in the log I found “The user has exceeded their Drive storage quota”

At that point, I had already compounded the problem.  Having deleted remote storage backups I had also deleted the log files so I don’t know how far I might have been able to go back to find a complete backup.

The software knows when there was a problem, please share that information with us.
