Backup appears to hang up in various places and never completes. Can’t use pastebin to post log file because it is too big.

You can cut it in two and post in two parts (or three, etc.).

Two issues I’ve found.
1. Old Plugin version 2.16.50.25. Please update to latest version 2.16.57.25.
2. 2935.429 (3) [Warning] Your website is visited infrequently and UpdraftPlus is not getting the resources it hoped for; please read this page: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/
This warning message causes UpdraftPlus not able to create or complete backups. UpdraftPlus is only able to run when WordPress is loaded into memory, i.e. when the site is accessed. As such, UpdraftPlus is not able to resume the backups in good time.

According to the article, the site is getting enough traffic. Even yesterday trying to run the backup I had another browser open with the website loaded.
Could it be related to the size of the site? This site is very large as the client uploaded a ton of media. I can’t find with the GoDaddy host any details of file space limits or bandwidth restrictions. Suggestions?

Can you send us again latest copy of the backup log? Since it has been update to latest version.
It is also possible if it is the size of your site. You can ask your host to increase your server resources and see if that helps resolve the issue.
