Class ‘UpdraftPlus_Manipulation_Functions’ not found

I have a site – WP 5.8.3 and current Updraftplus 2.22.1. Updraft works fine for a few days – and then we get the critical error email with:
Error message: Uncaught Error: Class ‘UpdraftPlus_Manipulation_Functions’ not found in /home/quinnc123/creativetravelgroup.com/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/admin.php:39

The updraft folder is missing most items except the vendor folder and some php files in the main plugin folder. Nothing showing in the error log and nothing on the server is indicating the files get deleted.

Any ideas? It completely bricks the wp-admin and we go into ftp and delete the updraftplus folder and reinstall and it is fine for a few days then same thing. Has been happing for the past 2 months or so.

When we install the latest plugin – the site will backup per schedule and everything looks correct until without notice we get the site experiencing technical issue email and wp-admin is tanked.

Hi,

It appears that the update has failed partway. Can you please re-install UpdraftPlus? Can you let us know if that helps resolve the issue?
You will not lose your backups in the process.

Hi Bryle,

We have – SEVERAL times. According to my emails – this has happened 5 times since around Thanksgiving. We have to delete the folder, then reinstall the plugin and then is it fine for a few days and then bam – same thing. It is only on 1 site. Nothing in the error logs. We have the debug set on that site and nothing as to why it suddenly removes a bunch of files. There is nothing in the server security logs and nothing in quarantine. They are simply gone.

Hi Teo,

Can you try to temporarily deactivate the other plugins? See if you get the same result?
A plugin maybe in conflict with UpdraftPlus.
