    Hi

I’m running the UpdraftPlus backup plugin on several sites. They all upload backups to Onedrive for Business. That part works fine.

The settings are such that it should keep the last 5 backup sets. However, when completing a new backup it doesn’t delete the oldest one. That is, it deletes the the database backup files. But the backup files containing all the WordPress files, plugins, themes… those files are not deleted.

It is the same on all the sites I run.

Looking at the backup page in WordPress it only lists 5 existing backups. So it clearly “thinks” it has delete the old backups. But if I manually do a “scan remote repository” all the backups not delete show up again.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

Please can you send us a screenshot of the backup list?
Please note that “Backup before update” are not included in the backup retention rule.

    Bryle

    Hi

Sure. Where do want me to send it to? I can’t seem to attach a screenshot here?

I don’t use the “backup before update” feature. These are regular weekly scheduled backups :-)

    Hi,

    Thank you for the screenshot!

Can you try to click on the “Rescan remote storage” link? Does that update your backup list?
It appears to me that the other backups no longer exist and just needs to be refreshed to get the updated list.

Here you go… scanning remote storage reveals two additional backup sets (minus the database backups)

I have manually delete older backup files so for now there are only two older sets.

    Best regards

Also… from mondays backup you can see that it runs the backup and then thinks that it deletes the oldest complete backup set (from january 13th):

But scanning the remote storage shows us:

PS. For some reason I can’t seem to post a reply with 2 links in it?
