    Hi,

    I installed the ‘Upload Larger Plugins’ plugin and I am trying to install Updraftplus Premium from the .zip files (updraftplus.1.9.50.zip) stored locally on my laptop.

    I get this message after I try to upload the plugin:

    Downloading install package from /var/www/vhosts/www.antonybeevor.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/updraftplus.1.9.50.zip…

    Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.

    Hi Mark,

    If you’re on a local laptop, then it’d be simpler to just unzip the zip file, and copy the resulting “updraftplus” directory into the wp-content/plugins directory of your site (so that it becomes wp-content/plugins/updraftplus) – that’s all WordPress does when installing a plugin.
