I am migrating to a new site on someone else’s server that I have little to no control over. They do not have a SSL certificate (https). From what I understand in a previous post, that is the reason I am getting the following error:

updraft send command: error: error ()

    BACKGROUND
I connected the staging site on my server with the client’s site using a token.
I can see the migrated backup listed in my client’s UpDraft plugin backup list.
When I click “Restore” I get the message updraft send command: error: error ()
    Using updraftplus-with-migrator.2.16.4
Afraid I cannot tell you server configuration on client’s server.
WordPress installation on client’s server is clean, new install, working fine other than cannot restore.

Any ideas how to get the site to install/restore the migrated package?

    Hi,

It appears that something is blocking the connection. Can you ask your host/server admin to check if UpdraftPlus has been blocked?

Alternatively, if the direct “site to site” method of sending the backup set to the destination site is being blocked, then, you should upload the backup set to the destination site using one of the other 3 available methods. Please see step 3 onwards of the migration guide, here: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-do-i-migrate-to-a-new-site-location/

    Regards,
    Bryle
