This has been happening on multiple sites (same Google Cloud VM) from about WP 4.9.7 to present (5.0.1).

The 1st file of a set will download (plugins-1) but any additional files of that type immediately fail (plugins-2, etc).

Sometimes I can redownload the files. But sometimes I get bad files and have to FTP in to delete them.

Any ideas how to fix this?

    Hi,

Please could you open your browser developer console (CTRL+SHIFT+J or F12 in most browsers, then click the ‘console’ tab), and attempt to download the backup files?

Do any errors or warnings appear in the developer console? If so, please could you send us a copy or screenshot?

    Best Wishes,
    David N

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.

I’m afraid that that message is not related to UpdraftPlus.

Would it be possible to allow us access to the site? If so, please could you open a support ticket with the details here:

Let me see if it will do it on a fresh install on the server. (I blame the server – a VM on Google Cloud.) Then I’ll set it up.

    Thanks,

    Josh
