    In the scenario where you have just re-installed WP to the previously existing URL, but are now tied to a brand new database, should one use the Migrator or can a plain-vanilla restoral be used? I suspect the Migrator should be used only for instances with a new URL.

    Hi,

    If the URLs are the same, then using the Migrator would be redundant – it has nothing to do in that case.
