i am getting this error when i try to update the updraftplus plugin.
    Unpacking the update…

    Installing the latest version…

The package could not be installed. The package contains no files.

    Plugin update failed.

Experiencing the same issue. And after attempting to update, UpDraftPlus either deactivates itself, or it uninstalls the plug in completely. This is with a Premium account.

exactly. i am connected and have the license showing on the licenses page. ultimately i had
to ftp the extracted zip file to have the update in place.
but what does this mean for the future?
and i still do not know if i deactivate ( which as you said it does by itself during that whole process)
do i delete and upload the zip file, or just leave it deactivated and upload it?
i suspect if i delete and upload it will be alright, meaning the aws and other data will still be there?

    Hi,

The update appears to have failed partway.

The best solution is to manually remove ‘updraftplus’ folder via FTP from the ‘wp-content/plugins/’ directory.

Then re-install the plugin and make sure to download fresh copy of the plugin from our install guide. https://updraftplus.com/support/installing-updraftplus-premium-your-add-on/

You will not lose your backups or settings in the process.

    Kind Regards,
    Bryle
