updraft calls ajax a lot and making the dashboard very ver slow

Hi,
I have installed updraft premium on a client site and it keeps calling a url like this in ajax
https://domain.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=updraft_ajax&subaction=activejobs_list&nonce=1bdda652a6&downloaders=

multiple times in the minute and causing the dashboard to load very very slowly. I tried the wipe settings tool but still the same happens. The only way to get the dashboard to load fine is by deactivating the updraft plugin.

anyone knows why is this happening?

The list of active jobs is polled if you have the ‘Summary’ tab open. To stop polling, close the ‘Summary’ tab.
