I have set up a site on Xampp and installed WP. I created a backup from the live site without the cache type Plugins, downloaded and installed in my website on Xampp.

The live website uses https

I restored Plugins, Themes, Other, Uploads, then tried the DB, it did not restore.
Error message was “Could not Parse the JSON (502)

Must the Xampp site have the same database name as the live website, and does https make any difference?

Hi,

The usual cause of an HTTP 502 is a timeout in PHP-FPM. Can you consult your web hosting company to check if that is the case, and what they suggest? (What is the timeout? The default is 60 seconds in PHP-FPM.
