UpdraftPlus version 2.16.62.25 Backup Keeps Failing

There appears to be a bug in UpdraftPlus version 2.16.62.25 that is causing the automated backup to fail. There is another thread on this; however, no action has been taken to-date.

I’m experiencing the same thing. I’ve reverted all my sites to 2.16.61.25, which works fine. I’m hoping that UpdraftPlus development gets this fixed ASAP.

Downloaded replacement ‘backup.php’ file, but it does not
fix the problem of the backup dying from retries & timeouts
before it can complete a backup. Not fixed yet…

Replaced with the latest backup.php, but it still can’t complete a backup.
after many timeouts and retries, and UpdraftPlus says “File exists (/home2/oursite/public_html/wp-content/updraft/backup_2021-10-13-0548_oursite_9e6e11ea28c2-uploads2.zip.tmp), but was apparently not modified within the last 30 seconds, so we assume that any previous run has now terminated (time_mod=1634118712, time_now=1634119094, diff=382) (Oct 13 05:58:14)” This site is only 15GB. This is with file size at 2GB. My other websites don’t have this problem and are able to backup, even though they are much larger sites. PHP is 7.4. This site is in a different JustHost acct.
It gets going, but it starts having problems updating the zip.list.tmp or zip.tmp files and completing them & creating the next in the series.
Eventually Updraft dies thinking the process has died due to not being able to update the files and running out of time and retries.

takes over 40 seconds to complete/close the current uploads.zip.tmp file and transition to the next uploads zip file, & then it never completes this process.
Host says they fixed the PHP timing limit issue. Still unable to complete a 15gb backup (always failing during the uploads zip files).
