A new release of UpdraftPlus has just been made. It is exactly the same as yesterday’s – except with two small tweaks to defeat some faulty caches and webservers.

A handful of customers (six so far) reported that the UpdraftPlus settings page in WordPress was messed up, until they reloaded it in their browser. UpdraftPlus is using WordPress’s mechanism for version-ed cacheing of resources (which is why not everybody was seeing the mess), but for some reason, these customers’ setups appear to be cacheing things they shouldn’t. This release overcomes that, and removes the need to hit “Reload” in your web browser for affected users.

The second issue affects downloads of large zips made through the dashboard. Some webservers were failing to deliver these, related to an incidental change in re-factored code in this area of UpdraftPlus. This is now also avoided in the new release.
