We’ve just released UpdraftPlus 1.7.35, which is a recommended update for all users.

The release of 1.7.34 has been very quiet – it has been downloaded around 15,000 times, with zero reports of new bugs. However, we have spotted one potential issue (that nobody has reported in the wild), that could potentially lead to tables being missed from the database backup on a WordPress Multisite install (you’ll know if you have one of those – because they have some manual steps in the setup; see: https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network).

We also took the opportunity to add a  new tweak for UpdraftPlus’s zip-file handling, to deal with very-low resource VPSes and reduce the memory usage upon them, and prevent a couple of messages from appearing in the backup log which were harmless but likely to mislead those users who read their log files into thinking there was a potential issue (when there wasn’t).

In summary: we think it’s our best UpdraftPlus yet, and recommend that everybody updates; and WP Multisite users should do so as a priority.
