    Hello,

    I have a multisite environment and I cloned my primary site to my DEV environment.

    My backup schedule is daily at midnight.

    However, everyday I get emails that my DEV site was backed up – Random parts during the day, never consistent and never coinciding with my scheduled midnight time for my Primary site.

    An example of the email I receive is as follows:

    Dev MMy Website: Backup Report
    Backup made by UpdraftPlus 2.16.57.25
    Backup of:
    https://dev.mywebsite.com
    Latest status:
    The backup apparently succeeded and is now complete

    This started happening after I cloned my website.

    Is there a way to check in the logs if his is a manual backup or a scheduled backup that is buggy?
    Any reason why this is happening?

    Hi,

    Please can you update to latest version 2.16.58.x and see if that changes anything?

    If issue persists in the next few days, please let us know here and send us a copy of the backup log.

    Backup began:
    2021-06-04 18:05

    It’s not a deal breaker since it’s just an EXTRA backup, just annoying more than anything.

    Let me know if you’d like me to troubleshoot anything to help resolve.

    In the majority of cases when Updraft is creating more backups than are configured in a Multisite, it is due to the sub-sites having their own backup schedule stored in the database.
    The UpdraftPlus backup settings are copied from the original site, and trigger extra backups to run.
    If you allow us access to phpMyAdmin we can remove the extra configuration (please send us a message via the Helpdesk)
    Alternatively, we can give you some instructions on what to do.
