Hello,
I’ve started to experience a backup error with updraft and dropbox. This is occurring on several of my sites with the same error. They’re hosted on different services so it’s either a plugin issue or a dropbox integration issue.

Please can you clarify whether you are using the free, or paid version of UpdraftPlus? This question appears to have been posted both in the wordpress.org forum (which forbids questions about paid plugins – https://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products) and the updraftplus.com forum (which is only for questions about the paid plugin).

The error is from Dropbox, and saying that the Dropbox server being contacted is currently having an internal issue. If you allow some time, then UD should keep retrying.

Love advice how to resolve.

The best thing to do would be to open a new thread, and include the full error message or a screenshot. You can’t be getting the exact same issue as in this thread, as that is an error from the upload code, not from the authentication code. If you open a new thread, then we can take a look and advise.

In my case it was simply patience which resolved the issue. As Updraft Support indicated was an issue with contacting the Dropbox server which restored itself after some time.
Give it a couple hours or a day and give it another shot.Cheers
