    Hello,

I haven’t had any issues with this plugin until today.
I tried to clone my dev site to a new production stage. the dev site would not accept the key. Just adding the key and selecting add site. No response, not the usual add of the site to the list of site direction to send cloning files too.
This wasn’t the latest version of the plugin, so I tried to deactivate. Deactivate gave me white screen of death for the backend, but not front. I had noted some http errors in my logging plugin from updraft plus. But the white screen of death gave me no opportunity to discover the issue. I had not the opportunity to resolve this, I am now hours of work ahead to work this out. Quite frustrated.

    Hi,

It sounds like your WP site is running very close to the configured memory limit on your web hosting server. Behaviour like that (front-end up, back-end down – the back-end always uses more memory than the front-end) is a very good indicator of that. When a plugin is de-activated, no actual plugin code runs – WordPress just knows not to run any future code from that plugin. Here’s how to increase memory allowance on your WP site: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/deal-fatal-error-allowed-memory-size-errors/

    David
