I’m trying to add a SCP location to store my backup. The only problem is that the plugin can’t which to the right directory. You can see the settings over here:

I have tried to change the directory and used /home, home and /home/

The directory where I want to which to is called home.

Please let me know what I can do to fix this.

    Hi Pieter,

If you log in using another SFTP client (e.g. FileZilla), 1) what shows as the directory path in FileZilla – and 2) can you create a file in that directory?

    Hi David,

I used WinSCP to go to the server and when I go into the directory home I can add files and make directories, etc.

    Hi Pieter,

Please can you send a screenshot of that, so that I can see how WinSCP is handling the directory?

    David,

Here I have a screenshot of WinSCP, don’t know if this is what you want?

Strange. Would you be able to create an SFTP login for me to test, or send me the existing login to test? If you mark the reply as ‘private’ using the tick-box below, then only I will be able to see it.

David I have fixed it with unchecking the use SCP instead of SFTP function.

Great, glad you got it sorted.

Looking at the WinSCP screenshot, I can see that that’s using SFTP, not SCP, too. The product name (WinSCP) can be misleading – it’s not just for SCP.
