    In some of my sites updraft in making frequent backups of the database and plugins with being schedule or without any plugin upgrade… Why?

    Hi,

    These are automatic backups created before an update. When enabled, these will be taken before any update takes place.

    Have you checked your WordPress installation for automatic updates? The plugins and themes may be updating without you realising.

    If you want to turn off Automatic Updates, go to Settings in the UpdraftPlus dashboard. Then open the ‘Expert’ settings at the bottom of the page. You will find an option labelled ‘UpdraftPlus Automatic Backups’. Uncheck this option and save your settings.
