I was trying to use the WordPress free version and it was just not loading the dB correctly and I was at a loss.

So…I was thinking maybe if I purchased the migration plugin it would work. Sadly, to no avail.

These backups are from my Gmail account and they’re all here and in full condition.

I just don’t understand why it will not load my previous posts. Layout, etc…you know…my whole database. It will load the plugins, themes and everything else, but where it really matters it falls short.

I’m needing assistance in a bad way. My site has been down since 2013 and I thought since I brought it back up, I could just reload the backups and be good to go.

This is proving quite not the case. And I feel like I wasted 30.00 of the migration software.

    Please help.

    Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

Do you have a restoration log available? You can find this log in the wp-content/updraft directory of your site.

It will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online tool such as pastebin, and post the link here.

    Best Wishes,
    David N

It says it cannot be read, but here is the cut and paste from the screen.

    Hi Michael,

I can see from the log two things:

    – That it’s a backup from December 2012 – i.e. really old. Is that intended? (There were no paid UpdraftPlus products then – updraftplus.com wasn’t registered until the next month!).

    – That UD is failing to detect the table prefix in the database backup, because of the old format. If you attach the database backup to a reply, I can adjust it for you, so that it will work.

    David
