    Hi everybody,

I want to send my backup to my OneDrive account, but when I specify my redirect URL (at the API settings) I get this pop-up from Microsoft:
“Your redirect domain is not valid or contains a word that isn’t allowed. Please reenter the URL or to request an exception, go to Microsoft Help and Support.”

I can’t find anyone by Microsoft who can help me with this. So hopefully you do.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

What is the redirect domain entered? Can you post a screenshot of the settings in the OneDrive website console?

Hi David, thanks for your reply.
Dumb question, but how do I post the screenshot?

    Hi Patrick,

Thank you. Looking at the wording of the error message, I strongly suspect that Microsoft have a policy banning domains containing certain words…

    Hi David,

    Thank you for your reply.

I know, but what can we do about it?
Is there a way to solve this from your side?

I stopped trying by Microsoft after a few hours searching for help. I couldn’t find anybody to help me with this ridiculous problem.

    Regards,

    Patrick

No – it appears to be a Microsoft policy, enforced at the OneDrive end.
