I currently have UpdratfPlus Premium installed on my local machine where it is busily making backups for me. I would like to migrate my site to a staging site for further testing and eventually move it to the live site. My current license provides for two sites — it sounds like I would need three licenses if I tried to develop locally and on the staging site while having a live site at the same time. Is that right?
If my current level of investment doesn’t allow what I’d prefer, then I will probably move all development to the staging site. In which case I would need to move my license from the local machine to the staging site. How do I do that?

Yes, that’s right.
For licence related issues, please open a ticket at: https://updraftplus.com/paid-support-requests/. Officially, you’d need a third licence. But if you ask someone will normally reset it for you as a one-off.
