If I look in my server it is something like this, If I want to include .htaccess file in my root directory.

    /srv/users/serverpilot/apps/wpthaiuser/public/.htaccess

Should I put all of the line above or just

    wpthaiuser/public/.htaccess

    or

    /public/.htaccess

    or
    .htaccess

    ???

    I really have no idea.

You should make it simple like a Check box. I seen BackupBuddy do that and it is what I like about it. But I Prefer UpdraftPlus. Just this little thing. We could make it easier for any users.

    Hi,

Enter the full server file path – i.e. the first.

Though, if that’s the same directory as WordPress core, you could just tick the checkbox to backup WordPress core.
