What this error mean?

This means that UpdraftPlus was not able to add the files to the backup archive.
Please could you ensure that you are using the latest version of UpdraftPlus (2.12.35), and that there is enough available disk space on the hosting account/server?
Could you also send us a copy of the full backup log?
