I have updraft backups working to local server.

    Will not upload to OneDrive
Error: OneDrive: Failed to upload backup_2017-04-07-1047_Jedistar_52ca463e264a-uploads.zip

    Error log at https://www.dropbox.com/s/ms6qwl32zweoqob/log.d78de5112c08.txt?dl=0

The path I have used for OneDrive verified ok in Updraft.

An updraft log file for the last three days appears in my OneDrive account but NOT in the folder I specified.

Am thinking this is part of my problem but I am out of my depth.

    Hi,

Apologies. The log file you sent indicates that UpdraftPlus is configured to upload to Dropbox only.

Please could you switch back to OneDrive, take a new test backup and send us that log?

    Best Wishes,
    David N

    Hi,

What is the path that you are using in your OneDrive remote storage settings?

The path cannot be a URL. It should be a file-path relative to the OneDrive root.
    E.g. ‘folder/subfolder’

    David,

Thank you for this thread, which seems to have solved one problem. I changed the path from a URL to something like what you recommended, and it looks like (for the first time) the backup was successful, at least since I’m not getting error logs about that. The e-mail I got from WordPress says that the backup was successful and complete. However, I can’t find the backup in the folder that I specified. Now what?

P.S. I am trying a manual download of the successful backup now– we’ll see if that works.

Okay, a follow-up: I was able to download the .GZ file to my “Downloads” folder. It is a single file, not a compressed or .zip file. It is not anything I can open, however. How do I make sure I have a good backup of my WordPress database before upgrading?

    Hi,

Please could you send us a copy of the backup log?
This can be found in the Existing Backups tab.

The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Best Wishes.
