When I try to restore a UpdraftPlus backup in Local (app) (localwp.com). When it gets to the database it times out and fails to restore.
Also the behavior in Local is unexpected and doesn’t seem to be as responsive as say a local apache using XAMPP or something. As it is restoring a smaller site the progress suddenly goes from starting to complete without updating the Updraft log window as it usually does.

Any ideas what I can do to force Local to not timeout during a restore and be more responsive?

    Hi,

To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the restoration log only?
You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site via FTP.
You can send the log file and copy the contents into an online tool (such as http://pastebin.com/ )

    Kind Regards,
    Bryle

There doesn’t appear to be much to go on in the log file:
    https://pastebin.com/wwrNNSuE

While it’s doing a search replace on wp_postmeta it just silently failing.

    Hello,

I would recommend increasing the PHP memory_limit directive to 512M and retrying. Failing that, you could share the database backup via a shared link using a private reply. We will then attempt to restore it on a clone, optimize it for you and send it back.

    Best,

    Paul
