I created a new site in a spare domain that I have (www.annedorrian.org.uk) and then then did a migration to its new home at http://www.brauncewellquarries.co.uk.
The issue that I have is that when I try to login to the admin panel on the new site (www.brauncewellquarries.co.uk/wp-admin) I now get a redirect back to the admin page of the test site:
with changes being made there. Backups to Google drive also go there.
Noramlly I build test sites using XXAMP and have never had any issues going migrations.
Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

From your description, it appears that the site URL was not search and replaced.
