Hi I dutifully renewed my developer license well in advance as always to ensure continued service, I belive this will be the 3rd or 4th year I have renewed and thought nothing of it however to my horror when running updates on some sites this morning I found I was unable to renew my license and in checking on my account I found that my license has been downgraded to an agency license and is now limited to 35 sites, furthermore the list of sites with active licenses I have no way of managing so sites that are no-longer relevant or that have had the plugin removed are still in the list meaning there is nothing I can do to reacivate the plugin on the sites I need.
This seems both annoying and frustrating and I am left scratching my head wondering what to do – I can’t really twiddle my thumbs and wait some unknown period for the list of sites to update and likewise, I cannot really afford as a sole trader with a small number of clients to purchase another licence. Most of the sites with the plugin installed are development sites and It’s truly annoying especially as I purchased the renewal in good faith that it was being renewed like-for-like based on the previous developer license which was unlimited sites. When I renewed the license I don’t believe there was the splash notice about the downgrading like there is now or if there was – like now it says you are using a few fewer licenses than you need and we recommend an agency license. _ But this is not actually the case I am using more than the agency license because the list doesn’t show all of the sites it is active on. At the very least I now have to buy another agency license with no idea if this will also exceed the quota – now way to control how the sites are activated and pruned and at the same cost as buying an enterprise licence in the first place.
Possibly this is further complicated by the fact that when I renewed 2 years ago I also changed my email address but this was never a problem in the plugin I simply changed the address there too.
Any suggestions as to how long I will need to wait for the active sites list to be pruned and what to do to deactivate the plugin on sites I no longer have access to. I find it absolutely ridiculous that you would implement a system such as this without allowing users the ability to control the sites it is active on and provide no way for us to remove sites we no longer have access to. At the very least I would expect this functionality before you implement such a drastic change – and a way to take advantage of the 40% renewal discount and have the cost of the agency renewal removed from this as well.
I look forward to hearing from you soon
Thanks

Apologies for the confusion.
We have recently changed our pricing tier. As a result, the Developer package (now called ‘Agency’ no longer includes unlimited licenses (now 35 licenses). For unlimited licenses, we now offer the Enterprise package.
However, as you were not aware of this at the time of purchase, I have renewed the unlimited license for you now.
The renewal message should no longer display on your sites and you should be able to manage all the licences again from your UpdraftPlus account.
Best Wishes,
