Hi there;
I’m trying to use a multi-site backup, to restore to a staging server on a different domain. There are only two sites in the multi-site, and the second is on a sub domain. On the staging server, a restore correctly remaps the main site, but I get nothing but 500 errors for the site on the sub domain. I created both the multi-site setup, and a new sub-domain first, but the restore didn’t offer to remap the way it does when cloning a single site. I have tried search and replace for old URL mappings with no success. htaccess looks fine. I cannot find specific articles for instruction on how to do this using updraft.Hi Rob,
A ‘500 Internal Server error’ is a generic error code that indicates that ‘something’ has gone wrong on the server itself.
You could contact your hosts/server admin and ask them to check the PHP error logs. The logs should contain further information on the exact error that is occurring.
