I have been using UpdraftPlus successfully for backups, no problems. Just purchased Clone, but am unsuccessful getting it to work. I started the process and left it overnight. It seems to get stuck and when I check on my Updraft account it shows my 2 attempts and says “waiting to receive site data”. I looked at the logs but they are greek to me. I’m not sure where to go from here?? thanks. denise

Please could you send us a copy of the latest backup log? This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

Apologies for the delay.
I’m afraid that the files that you linked to are not the UpdraftPlus backup logs, but the backup itself and a server log. I have made those links private
The backup logs are available from the UpdraftPlus WP Admin page, under the Backup/Restore tab.
For each recorded backup, you should see a button called ‘View Log’.Best Wishes,

It appears that there is a problem with ZipArchive (a.k.a. php-zip) on the server.
This is a zipping engine that UpdraftPlus uses to create the zip files. As such, the backup has to switch to an alternative, much slower zipping engine. This is causing the errors and long backup times.
Please could you contact your hosts/server admin, and ask them to check if ZipArchive is correctly installed and active on the server?

I changed the settings back to 400Mb and ran a backup. I don’t think it finished? It thinks there is another one running? I did try earlier and maybe that one didn’t finish? They also said to ask you if Updraft is compatible with PHP 7.2 which I am using. Here is the last log.

It is set to run an auto backup later tonight. I will see how that goes and set 50Mb.
thanks for anymore ideas. deniseJanuary 3, 2019 at 1:36 am #333013dencor1041ParticipantThe auto backup that ran on it’s own ran fine at 50Mb. So, I think the zip archive was a problem. I set it back to 400Mb and will see if it auto runs tonight. Before I started this whole clone process and reinstalled UpdraftPlus I was running auto backups at 400Mb with no problem?? That was even with the zip archive turned off? curious why? But for now things seem fine. thanks for your help. denise
