    1) I took a full backup prior to troubleshooting a small issue – reverted to Twenty Sixteen theme and disable plugins to make sure no conflict.
    2) After ruling out conflict, I turned my Theme back on and activated the plugins. Unhappily I had lost my Theme settings, so I decided to restore the backup.
    3) The restore appeared to complete. I followed the instructions on the screen. I got a message that I needed to repair the database by inserting a line in the wp-config file. and refreshed the screen. Then followed instruction to remove the line from wp-config
    4) Accessing my site I still see Error establishing a database connection
    5) Hosting support tells me there are tables missing from the database.
    6) It will cost me $100 to have their people restore the database.

I thought you should know there are problems with your backup / restore process.

    Hi,

To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the restoration log?
You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site via FTP.
You can send the log file as an attachment or copy the contents into an online tool (such as https://pastebin.com/ )

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle

I have the same problem. I see 2 logs from the same time. Where do I email them to?
    Thanks

    Hi @saca.tucson,

    “0083.804 () Top-level entities being moved: twentysixteen, twentyfifteen, twentyseventeen, index.php, spun, genesis, academy-pro, genesis-sample, daily-dish-pro, authority-pro, breakthrough-pro, twentynineteen”

Is the that you are using listed here?

Could you also try to restore/migrate your site on a staging/test site and see if you are able to restore everything?

    @cindy9
could you also do the same? It appears that is a duplicate error your on your database.

    Regards,
    Bryle

Thank you but I have no idea what you mean when you say “Is the that you are using listed here?”. I don’t have time to mess with 1) getting or setting up a staging/test site and 2) waiting on a reply to this. After almost 24 hours waiting for a reply, I had to go ahead and pay GoDaddy $150 to restore the site.

    Thank you
    Cindy

The theme we were using was Breakthrough Pro, Genesis child.

I suppose I could figure out a way to create a staging/test site on another account to try it out. I also have already paid my hosting support to recover a backup of my database to get our site up again. It was down for 96 hours.

I would like to understand what this means. Are these the lines you are referring to?
    0083.804 () Top-level entities being moved: twentysixteen, twentyfifteen, twentyseventeen, index.php, spun, genesis, academy-pro, genesis-sample, daily-dish-pro, authority-pro, breakthrough-pro, twentynineteen
    0083.822 () Moving unpacked backup into place…
    0084.225 () Top-level entities being moved: academy-pro, authority-pro, breakthrough-pro, daily-dish-pro, genesis, genesis-sample, spun, twentyfifteen, twentynineteen, twentyseventeen, twentysixteen, index.php
