I’m trying to migrate my current site: nativeplantgardentour.org to the subdomain: 2014.nativeplantgardentour.org, so that I can make changes to my site and retain and archived version.

I just restored it from a backup and this is what it looks like: https://www.2014.nativeplantgardentour.org
As you can see it looks like my uploads folder didn’t get transferred.

    Here is the log:
    https://www.2014.nativeplantgardentour.org/wp-admin/options-general.php?action=downloadlog&page=updraftplus&updraftplus_backup_nonce=dd57de3e172c

    I did get two warnings:
0007.761 () Warning: the database’s site URL (https://www.2014.nativeplantgardentour.org/) is different to what we expected (https://www.nativeplantgardentour.org)
0007.762 () Warning: the database’s home URL (https://www.2014.nativeplantgardentour.org/) is different to what we expected (https://www.nativeplantgardentour.org)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Philip

    Hi Philip,

That log file link is only accessible to someone who can log in to your WP dashboard.

However, from your description, it’s most likely that the webserver has a timeout, and killed off the migration when it reached the uploads. You should go to the UpdraftPlus settings page, and restore *only* the uploads, and see if that works (since it’ll only be doing the uploads, it’ll have more time).

Failing that, download the uploads zip to your PC, unzip it, and upload the contents via FTP so that the resulting ‘uploads’ folder becomes wp-content/uploads. That’s all that is done with the restoration of the uploads backup – all the interesting stuff is done elsewhere (mostly with the database).

    Best wishes,
    David

    Thanks David,

I tried again and everything seems to be working fine now.

    Hi Danielle,

Please can you open a new thread? Your question doesn’t seem to relate to Philip’s questions.

    Best wishes,
    David

It is a direct response to the instructions provided to Phillip here:

“Failing that, download the uploads zip to your PC, unzip it, and upload the contents via FTP so that the resulting ‘uploads’ folder becomes wp-content/uploads. That’s all that is done with the restoration of the uploads backup – all the interesting stuff is done elsewhere (mostly with the database).”
