    I’m just wondering if the backups that run right before a plugin is updated including the whole plugin directory or just that specific plugin’s files/db tables? I’m asking because when I try to access those same backups later it seems to include every plugin folder inside the plugins directory.

    Hi,

    Backup before update will backup the entire component that is affected with the updated. So you have the whole plugin directory and database backup.

    So does that mean I need only do the backup once for the first plugin that I start updating and then update the others right away without re-doing the backup again one plugin at a time?

    Hi,

    Yes, you can do that. You can just skip the backup when updating the other plugins.
