    Hi,

for some time my Updraft-backups go directly to Dropbox. I’ve found huge files in the wp-content / updraft-directory (filenames backup_2018…-ZIPs and GZ). Obviously they are dated … can I delete them without any hassle? If so all of the files in this directory – even htaccess, deleteflag-txt-files, index.html, web config?

Or is there a built-in plugin-feature to “clean” these backups?

    Thanks
    Petra

    Hi,

You could delete them safely via FTP or your CPanel’s file manager. Just delete the zipped files and .txt which are the logs.
You can alternatively delete it from your WordPress Dashboard > UpdraftPlus > Select the backups you want to delete. If the backups are saved in both remote and local storage it will ask you if you want to delete the remote backup storage. If you don’t want that then deselect the option.

    Regards,
    Bryle
