Error: the server sent us a response (JSON) which we did not understand.
I have only just purchased UpdraftPlus and attempted to load it onto my two sites. Both returned this error message and I have been unable to install.

Is this whilst using the “Upload Larger Plugins” plugin?
1) What is shown if you open up the browser’s error console? (Usually Control-Shift-J).
2) As an alternative, unzip the plugin on your computer, and upload the resulting ‘updraftplus’ directory via FTP into wp-content/plugins (after first removing any existing wp-content/plugins/updraftplus). Then visit the ‘plugins’ page in the dashboard, and activate it.
