    Hi,

Upgraded to the full license last month and starting to implement. Spent about 15 minutes on my first site getting things dialed in. After that, other sites might only take 5-7 minutes each…

But, is there a way to export the Updraft settings, then import them into another site?

Might cut down quite a bit on the time.

Or any other tips on how to keep settings updated? For example, after a couple of months I discover the need to make a change… i’d need to manually go to 50 sites and make the same edit everywhere…

    Thanks,
    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,

If you’re handy with SQL, then you could export all settings from your WordPress options table whose names begin with “updraft”, and then run that SQL fragment on all the other sites. Do you have any existing tool you use for general management of multiple sites? It may have facilities to help with this kind of thing. I use WordShell (https://github.com/davidanderson684/wordshell) (but then I would, as I’m its author), but its a bit of an expert tool for people comfortable with the UNIX shell, so not suitable for everyone. There are others.

I’ve been looking for a couple of years for a good multi site management tool and haven’t found one.

Thanks for the tip on wordshell – it’s been 30 years since I was a command line unix programmer – forgotten most of it so I’m not sure how well I could handle it, but will consider. Would be nice to get automation under control.

    Thanks for the tips!
