The checkboxes to enable automatic updates do not appear in the update page of the dashboard. The big green check-mark shows that the addon is enabled. any thoughts,
    thx,

    Hi,

What is the updating mechanism being used? Can you send a screenshot of the top section of your WordPress “Update” dashboard page?

Here is the screenshot. As you may be able to detect, this is godaddy managed wp hosting. I would expect to see a couple of checkboxes here?

    Hi John,

Thanks, I see. Your current user doesn’t have permission to update WordPress core – that’s why, in your screenshot, the usual section telling you what your current WordPress version number is, and providing a button to either re-install (if it’s the latest) or update (if it’s not), doesn’t appear. It’s the permission to update WordPress core that triggers the inclusion of UD’s bits.

You can edit your users’ capabilities using a plugin like “User Role Editor”. It’s the ‘update_core’ capability specifically that you need to activate for your user.

    David
