    Hi,

Please could you send us a copy of the backup log?

The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Best Wishes,
    David N

    two bits of info here:
    1) from the hosting company (A2hosting), they wrote:

We have checked your service, permissions, and logs and have found a couple of clues to what could be the reason for the backup errors. However, in order for us to be able to treat this problem more efficiently, we would ask you to provide the following:
    1) Steps to reproduce the issue and all the needed access details, including WordPress admin panel login and password and any other details necessary to reproduce the issue.
    2) What is the error you’re receiving if any?

These details will help us to determine the core cause of the issue and resolve it. Looking forward to hearing back from you!

    Best Wishes,
    Vlad

    an update:
the hosting company discovered that the problem was the remote backup (and I confirmed) I have 5 gigabytes of remote backup at updraft plus and cannot send files to it.

i then attempted to sent files via ftp to my server which gave me an error:

    what am I missing?

    Hi,

From the log, it appears that the plugin is attempting to upload the backup to UpdraftVault.
However, while the UpdraftVault remote storage location has been enabled, you have not connected the site to your Vault.

In your remote storage settings, you will need to use your account email and password to connect to the Vault. After connecting, save your settings.

    Best Wishes,
    David N
