Backup is placed in FTP

Dear UpdraftSupport,

I have downloaded and installed your plugin without problems but before i configured (set the plugin settings ) i have started a backup, without placing a destination for the backup.

I guess the backup is now placed on my Server/FTP?
I have seen in the Updarftplus settings in wordpress that it is not good to save backups on the server.

Here is where the updraft folder is placed:
www/my-domain.com/wp-content/updraft/
and in this updraft folder i got following files:
emptydir folder
index.html
webconfig

The folder updraftplus is in the plugin folder.

Hi Micha,

Without a remote storage location set, UpdaraftPlus will store backups in the ‘www/my-domain.com/wp-content/updraft/’ directory.

If the backup has completed, but the backup files do not display in that directory, could you send us a copy of the backup log?
This log can be downloaded from the Existing Backups tab. The contents will be too long to post directly, but you can use a sharing service such as Dropbox or pastebin and post the link here. You can also set your reply to private.
