backup not finished

Hi Forum Friends, can you solve this? My backup keeps coming up with errors and not finishing. It seems to bet stuck here: table: wrd_blc_links Being a longtime newbie (yes, you know what I mean) at this I don’t know how to fix it. Php is ok I think and I have added lots more disk space. Mmmm… Any clues?

Hi,

Can you please send us a copy of the latest backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

Looking at the log, it appears to have been timed out or killed while create a backup for the database.
Please can you try to optimize your website? To remove unused and unecessary database entries. You can use WP Optimize or other plugins you prefer.

Hi Bryle, thanks very much for your help. I optimized as you suggested with WP Optimize and the subsequent backup was reported as successful! I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before. Perhaps because I usually do it in the reverse order – backup, then optimize hahaha. Anyhow it’s a good feeling to have regular reliable backups again.
