    Hi,

My client’s website is setup like this:

    WP Blog

    /blog/

    PHP based website

    /

I’d like to have Updraftplus in the WP Blog backup the files outside the wordpress folder “blog”. How do I do this?

I tried using the “Any other files/directories” check box using the domain root folder but nothing was backed up.
    Here’s the path I used

    /home/safes205/public_html/

    Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi,

Could you double check the absolute path to the site? You can find the absolute path to the WordPress root in the UpdraftPlus Advanced Tools tab, under “ABSPATH”.

Could you also send us a copy of the latest backup log? This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Exiting Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Best Wishes,

Ok I’ve got this fixed now.

I cleaned up the root folder and put all my files into a subfolder to make backups easier. But then I had to redirect my urls to the new subfolder using htaccess. Now everything is neat and tidy.

Just as I was ready to try another backup, I thought I would update Updraftplus and I’m really glad I did, because your team just updated the “Add directories” option!! I can now browse my server for the exact file/folder that I need. Thank you!

You guys made my day. Thanks for the quick help.
