backups not finishing properly

Upgraded to Updraft Premium yesterday and I’m off to a rocky start.

I have about a dozen sites, using various hosts, which only seem to add 1-2 files into their appropriate Dropbox sub-folder (for example plugins.zip and themes.zip may be there, but not others.zip, uploads.zip, etc).

So I checked to see if they backed up properly on the server. For example, if I noticed a particular site didn’t have the “plugins.zip” in Dropbox, I went to wp admin > updraft settings > existing backups tab, and tried to download the plugins.zip backup via the button… in doing so, I see errors like this:
    Error: Download failed
The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found
The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found

So the issue probably isn’t with dropbox, but from the source of the backup not completing properly to begin with.

Any idea what’s happening? Every time I try to pull a log file, it shows that it’s blank.

    Thanks

most of the logs fail to retrieve any data. they simply say “log..txt …”

here’s one that i was actually able to retrieve:

    Hi Ryan,

The best thing to do would probably be start a fresh backup, leave it for a couple of hours (to make sure it’s tried everything it can), and then to get the log file directly – from the wp-content/updraft directory in the web hosting space (via FTP, or the file manager in the hosting control panel). And then confirm whether it appears to be in Dropbox or not.

    Best wishes,
    David
