Cannot Retrieve backup from Updraft Vault

Good morning,

Yesterday we purchased and configured Updraft to make a backup of our multisite network to Updraft Vault. The restore hung at the Uploads stage and I’ve seem some support responses to that issue. I wanted to make sure that everything was restored correctly so I made a few site changes and ran the restore again this morning. When I did I received:

Error: Download failed
backup_2016-12-13-1615_*****.zip: The backup archive for this file could not be found. The remote storage method in use (none) does not allow us to retrieve files. To perform any restoration using UpdraftPlus, you will need to obtain a copy of this file and place it inside UpdraftPlus’s working folder (updraft)

I disconnected and reconnected our updraftvault remote storage but that didn’t help. And as far as I know, there doesn’t seem to be a way to retrieve the backup to do a manual restore. Please advise.

Good afternoon,

Not sure what changed but I created a new backup and was able to restore twice from it. Possible that the first one was corrupted? In any event, all seems well now. Also the Upload section at the bottom of the log never reports completion, but the backup seems to have worked well.

Hi Anthony,

Could you send us a copy of the original backup log? This can be found in the Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as pastebin, and post the link here. You can also set your reply to ‘private’.

In the meantime, you can find and download your backup files from your Vault directly here:
https://updraftplus.com/my-account/updraftplus-vault/

Then, upload these backup files to UpdraftPlus via the Existing Backups tab. This should allow you to restore the backup.
