Same problem here, I bought the add-on in the store (was installed earlier)
I get this warning: You do not have the UpdraftPlus SFTP/SCP add-on installed – get it from https://updraftplus.com/shop/“My account” on this site shows that the add-on is activated for my website.
Tried deleting the plugin and re-installing it.
Under the Premium/ Extensions tab the SFTP, SCP and FTPS Support add-on shows as “Assigned to this site” and then please follow this link to update the plugin in order to activate it. However, clicking the link brings a “the plugin is at the latest version”
Then I go back to the plugins page and reactivate the plugin (it was de-activated)
My add on tab now shows having version 2.6 (latest), I scroll down to my settings (email and password) and click “connect”.
Page now says: you are now connected with a Updraft Plus account.
If I check the status tab it says this:You do not have the UpdraftPlus SFTP/SCP add-on installed – get it from https://updraftplus.com/shop/

I now see two backups in my remote server. One from yesterday, one from today. The red warning has gone. I did a full backup with “make backup now” and it did that. So all seems ok now. I haven’t done anything since my post. Although, if I remember well I updated the plugin yesterday with a newer version. That might have helped.
It does say the debugging mode is active. I guess the errors are only visible in the backed (the Updraft Plus screen) right?

The debugging messages should only display in the backend. You can disable the UpdraftPlus debug mode in the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab.

I just paid for the update/renewal and my WordPress dashboard still shows that I need to update UpdraftPlus…. I’ve tried to follow your convoluted directions of how to install the update… why isn’t this automatic??? please help!!!

It appears that your site was stuck on the old, expired licences. I have removed those licences from your account.

Your licences appear to be up to date. Please could you try refreshing the connection to your account?
If that does not work, then it is likely due to a conflict with another plugin breaking the link.
As you have the Developer licence, you have access to the full plugin with all add-ons pre-activated, in the Downloads section of your My Account page. I would recommend downloading and installing this version.

Could it be because I already have a working dropbox folder add-on on a subdomain?
