Could you try to reduce the backup archive split size. This will split the backup into smaller, more manageable files.
To do this, open the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab, and find the ‘split backups every’ option. Set this to 25Mb save your settings and run a new process.
Best Wishes,

What’s confusing is that the dashboard reported a failed clone. However, online management dashboard shows two – not yet booted – clones. I’m unable to delete them for some reason. Clicking doesn’t return the action.
Help please

Can you send me a screenshot please? So I can check if it matches from our records.
If it does match, I can delete it from my end so you can run a new one.Best Wishes,

Thankfully they disappeared from the dashboard a few hours after posting here.
I setup a new clone with smaller split backups but it’s been stuck in a data transfer state for nearly 24 hours. See screenshots.
Thoughts?

Did you delete the latest clone you attempted to create? Please can you run a new one and let it run for a few hours so I can check it on our end.
Thanks,

No, I haven’t touched the most recent clone. I logged into the dashboard this morning and it’s disappeared!
I’ll run another clone attempt and get back to you…
February 10, 2021 at 12:33 pm #989529Ben RussellParticipantAlso, i’m assuming both databases used by our WordPress/CiviCRM installation are cloned during the process as opposed to just one (the primary used by wordpress)?
In the back-up platform I must manually include the second backup as an external database even though they’re located in the same place.
If not, how do I ensure that both databases are cloned during the process? The second database is referenced by the CiviCRM plugin. This is the reason we are trying to create a staging site – to test upgrades on the CiviCRM installation before going live.
Thanks

Site fails to load:
February 10, 2021 at 5:11 pm #989709Bryle CroduaModeratorHi,
Seems like the clone is missing some files? Can you check if the file that is causing the issue has been migrated? You can check via SFTP access.
Also, if you need to migrate a database that is not part of WordPress you can use the “More Database option”. This also needs to be manually migrated.

BryleFebruary 10, 2021 at 5:45 pm #989745Ben RussellParticipantHi,
That link is for adding extra databases to the back-up schedule, which I’ve already configured.
I’m looking to transfer said database with the clone, but I don’t have the option to include an additional database when establishing a clone of ‘this current site’.

February 10, 2021 at 6:34 pm #989795Ben RussellParticipantHow does one connect via SFTP wothout a host ip?
The SFTP credentials for the clone provide hostname as a url only: v24tny0qzr0.c.updraftclone.comFebruary 10, 2021 at 6:56 pm #989807Ben RussellParticipantPlease ignore my last question about SFTP access.
