I’m set up to do a daily backup to Dropbox of the database and Plugins, Themes, Uploads and Other Files for a WordPress-based site.
I’m used to seeing all the new backup files loading up onto DropBox, then all the previous versions being deleted leaving me with just one copy. Starting from April 4th, this behaviour seems to have changed: Although the database backups still delete, the remaining archives now don’t – and my Dropbox is rapidly filling up with additional backups.
Have I missed a setting somewhere.

The relevant bit of the log looks like this:

For us to check, please could you send us a full copy of the backup log?
Please use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.Regards,

Thanks! I noticed that you are still using PHP 5.6. Can try and upgrade to 7.x? Please see FAQ: https://updraftplus.com/php-version-matter/
Hopefully, that would help resolve the issue.

Regrettably, I still seem to have the same issue with backups. I’ll post the latest log in a moment.

It shows that the backup process is timed out or killed off though the split archive has been reduced to 25Mb (lowest value).
As the issue persists, please ask your hosts/server admin to investigate their PHP error logs. These logs should contain more information on the exact issue that is causing the backup process to halt. In most cases, this is due to low server reosurces such as I/O limit, maximum_exectution_timeout and site memory.
Kind Regards,
