I migrated a test site from a local bitnami installation to our server to test some functionality. When I migrated, all the links in the footer still point to my localhost. I figured, no big deal, i’ll just update the links manually, but even though the links are correct now in the widget section, it still pops up on the pages as the old localhost links.

    Hi Kevict,

You can use the manual Search/Replace Database tool in the UpdraftPlus Advanced Tools tab to update all URLs in your database.

    To do this:

    • Go to the Advanced Tools tab in the UpdraftPlus dashboard
    • Find the Search/Replace Database tool
    • In ‘Search for’, enter the original site domain
    • In ‘Replace with’, enter the new site domain
    • Click ‘Go’

PLEASE NOTE, this performs a full search and replace operation on the database, and is not reversible. Please take extreme care when inputting the URLs. After clicking Go, every instance of the old domain will be replaced by the new.

However, if the URL is hard coded in templates and not store in database then UpdraftPlus may not be able to identify the URLs in these pages.

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle
